Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology (CMLT) as per CTEVT is a three-year certificate program offered by CTEVT. The first year course focuses on basic science and foundational subjects, the second year course focuses on basic laboratory subjects, and the third year is given to the application of learned skills and knowledge within the comprehensive practical settings in college as well as a minimum 50 bedded Hospital Laboratory Observation Practical for six months. Successful completion of the course by the students will earn them a diploma and also make them eligible for BMLT and MMLT programs.
CMLT: SLC / SEE graduates as well as Lab. assistants with criteria mentioned by the CTEVT each year to their norms of NIRDESHIKA .
CTEVT will conduct the entrance exam at a specified center. The entrance exam is held for one comprehensive paper carrying 60 marks (20 marks each for English, Math, and Science). The exam will be objective type and will last 2 hours 15 minutes. Selection will be based on the merit list in descending order. Candidates must secure at least 40 marks of the total to qualify for selection.
Students need to prove themselves in the Internal Evaluation to appear in the final exam. NIT undertakes continuous evaluation of its students on the basis of Unit test, internal examinations, and assignments as well as punctuality, regularity, and discipline.
